21 Days of Prayer & Fasting

A Corporate Fast with Praise Church of Louisiana

As we begin a new year, in January we set aside 21 days to seek the Lord through prayer and fasting — dedicating our hearts, homes, and church to Him.

This corporate fast is patterned after Daniel’s example in Scripture:

Daniel 10:12–14 (NKJV)

Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia. Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come.”

Key Truth:
Breakthrough begins the moment you pray — but persistence in fasting and intercession brings what’s been held up in the spirit realm into manifestation on earth.

Like Daniel, we humble ourselves before God, giving up something that costs us — whether specific foods, social media, entertainment, or daily habits — and spending that time in prayer, worship, and reading His Word. *Please advise your healthcare professional before fasting. 

This season isn’t about restriction; it’s about renewal.
It’s about positioning our hearts to hear from God and allowing His Spirit to refresh and realign us for the year ahead.

Personal breakthrough
Fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit
Healing and restoration in families
Vision, direction, and revival across our church and communities
